Victoria is an island city, located on the south tip of Vancouver Island in the province of British Columbia. In the 1700’s, this island was initially inhabited by the European settlers as a result of the voyage of Captain James Cook.  The area and island quickly became a trading post for the Hudson’s Bay Company and in the late 1800’s was named Fort Victoria after the Queen of England.  With the gold rush in Vancouver, B.C., Victoria quickly grew as a port for the transfer of this precious metal.  Grief counselling Victoria BC and family psychotherapy is an important component of sound mental health of residents and families who live on this beautiful island. Vancouver Island is reachable by ferry only as there are no roads or bridges connecting the mainland.

Victoria has a mild climate with damp and windy winters.  Many come to the southern tips of Vancouver Island in the winter to watch the storms and see the ocean crash into the barriers erected to stop flooding of the high waves.  During the summer months, this is the driest of the major cities in Canada.  With this climate, Victoria has developed a reputation as the “City of Gardens” with an annul flower count that is done in February when most of the country is still in the cold of winter. Christian Counselling Victoria BC is a beneficial process that individuals and families undergo towards healing and resolution.   Victoria is also a major tourist attraction, seeing tens of thousands of visitors from nearby Washington state every year to visit local tourist attractions.

Victoria is located in British Columbia, Canada. It has a land area of 19.47 square kilometers.  The population of Victoria is 85,792 people with 45,762 households .
