The concerns and desires of my clients are the heart of my practice. I provide a space for each individual to speak freely and confidentially, and I listen in a way that allows the course of treatment to be oriented to each individual.
I hold a masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of West Georgia and I am an MFA candidate at the University of Georgia's Lamar Dodd School of Art where I work as an installation artist and teach in the area of expanded forms. I am licensed in the State of Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
The orientation of my practice is psychoanalytic. I have an interest in creative interventions specific to contemporary cultures. I am trained in Lacanian Psychoanalysis and I am a member of the Lacanian Compass, a US-based group of the World Association of Psychoanalysis. My training includes theoretical work, clinical case presentations, and ongoing supervision with analysts of the World Association of Psychoanalysis both here and abroad, and of course, my own analysis which is the cornerstone of an analyst's training.
Psychoanalysis is inherently creative work that supports each individual in addressing their suffering and desires and in making their own unique way in the world. I see individuals for both short-term and long-term treatments. I work with all ages beginning with children at age 4. I have a particular interest in making psychoanalytic work accessible to  adolescents, young adults, and artists. Clinically I specialize in working with Complex Trauma, PTSD, anxiety and panic disorders, mood disorders (includes depression), and issues with identity and sexuality. That said, the scope of my practice extends beyond therapeutic aims to include a creative exploration that supports each individual in making their own unique way in the world. Indeed, many people who begin with specific therapeutic aims will continue after having met these aims as they work to realize more of who they are, what drives and orients them, and how to do something with these realizations in their relationships, careers,  and communities.
In addition to psychoanalysis and psychotherapy, I offer trauma-sensitive yoga and mindfulness training in my practice.
My fees are typically 90.00-135.00 per session depending on the frequency of meeting. Initial sessions are 135.00. In addition, I have spaces available for lower-pay sessions for young adults and those working in the arts who are committed to working on a regular basis. These range from 25.00-70.00 per session based on frequency and ability to pay. I am not in-network for insurance. However, I will provide you with the necessary paperwork for you to submit for reimbursement directly through your insurance provider. Thank you for taking the time to read this and please contact me if you have any questions or would like to schedule an initial session.
