Welcome to my practice. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I provide compassionate support to individuals, couples and families. Whether you are concerned that your relationship is in trouble, overwhelmed by feelings of anxiety, struggling with sadness or grief, or feel as though you have somehow lost your sense of direction and purpose, I am here to walk with you and help you through the process of change.
My practice is rooted in my belief in the resilience of the human spirit, and my passion for supporting others in the process of healing and growth. As an emotionally focused therapist, I specialize in couples counseling, and integrate a variety of treatment modalities tailored to my clients' individual needs. Among the issues I commonly work with are depression and anxiety, relationship challenges, trauma, and grief and loss. The choice to begin therapy is an act of courage and hope. I am committed to creating a safe space to explore the difficulties you are facing, as well as what inspires you.
In therapy, we will explore the thoughts, feelings, and themes that undermine you and keep you feeling stuck. We will access the unspoken, unexamined feelings that often lead to painful symptoms. We will expand awareness of the relationship patterns that might have once served you, but now erode trust and connection. Together, we will work toward a more meaningful life and fulfilling relationships.
When we lose our way, we often need support to heal, refocus and reclaim our inner strength. With guidance, we can rediscover the resources we carry within us to grow and thrive. Wherever you are on your path, I would be honored to be a part of your journey.
I graduated with a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, and received my MFT from Southern Connecticut State University. I have conducted postgraduate training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with George Faller at The Greenwich Center for Hope and Renewal. I am certified in Gestalt therapy, and I am a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, the Connecticut Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and The International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).
