Welcome! My name is Emily, and I’m the founder at Davenport Creative Arts Therapy located in Midtown Manhattan steps from Grand Central station.

WHO WE ARE:

Davenport Creative Arts Therapy is a modern psychotherapy studio that blends Art Therapy with Evidence-Based talk therapies and Mindfulness Practices in Midtown Manhattan. We offer individual & couples counseling and work with adolescents and adults. Davenport Creative Arts Therapy honors an individual's whole being. We use a variety of integrative treatment approaches that aim to facilitate healing of mind and body.

WHAT WE SPECIALIZE IN:
Davenport Creative Arts Therapy has a team of holistically-oriented Licensed Art Therapists who specialize in a variety of areas including anxiety, depression, trauma, and borderline personality disorder (BPD). We have a particular interest in working with adults in their 20's & 30's who are looking for ways to cope with excessive worry, fatigue, stress, irritability, relationship conflict, indecisiveness, and feelings of chronic guilt and shame. Alongside traditional talk therapy approaches, our therapists incorporate techniques such as deep breathing, relaxation exercises, guided imagery, visualization, meditation and aromatherapy.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

unbiased and non-judgmental talk therapy that is both challenging, inspiring and accepting. Expect an invitation to start sessions with a brief mindfulness meditation, intermittent art (when appropriate).

WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE US:

Davenport Creative Arts Therapy integrates cutting-edge behaviorally-focused talk therapies with holistic modalities such as guided imagery, meditation, breath-work and insight oriented art making! We're a women-led team of multidisciplinary Licensed, Registered & Nationally Board-Certified Art Therapists with advanced training in integrative Mind-Body modalities.

Who we treat:
The women that we successfully work with come to us looking for guidance and relief.
