My passion is to help people. With a high regard for the dignity and value of humanity, as well as compassion for people facing difficult life circumstances I was drawn to the field of social work. As a professional and in my personal life I am invigorated by opportunities to share in the process of bringing about needed change.
I care about your experiences in the face of loss, life changes, mental/emotional turmoil, family and relationship issues. Helping you to navigate through those difficult times is a privilege that I find to be both rewarding and humbling. My goal is to help you find healing, and strengthen your relationships. Change begins with individuals, it affects couple and family relationships and impacts the wider society. To achieve your goals in counselling, we will focus on your strengths, and the things that are important to you,

This is how we will work together:
In a safe, supportive space you are listened to, accepted and not judged
Your cultural, religious and personal beliefs and values are respected
Your concerns, challenges and life story are valued and validated
Together we explore your potential and supports so that you can move toward your desired goals.

The art of  helping people is in exploring alternatives to see a different perspective. Do you want to understand how you influence and impact the situation at hand? Do you want to be empowered to move forward in a way that will increase your ability to manage your circumstances and improve your relationships?

For over 25 years I have worked with people in several areas including Social Services, Child Protection, Employee Assistance (EAP)and as a volunteer in the community. This work brings me into helping relationships with people from a variety of different backgrounds and various stages of life as they cope with challenging situations.

I am a registered Social Worker and Clinical Counselor with a Master of  Divinity (M.Div.) degree. As a professional I draw from a variety of  theoretical frameworks to match the unique and individual needs of the people I work with.
