I provide psychotherapy and counselling and am registered with the OCSWSSW (Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers) and OASW (Ontario Association of Social Workers). I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from York University and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto.
I have received education and training in various therapy modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy, trauma-focused behavioural therapy, enhanced cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, brief solution focused therapy, family therapy, crisis intervention and cyber counselling.
I have provided counselling to children, adolescents, adults and families for a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, sexual abuse, poor body image, low self-esteem, loss and grief, addictions and other mental health concerns.
I believe that each person is a unique individual with their own personality, thoughts, feelings, and experiences. In therapy, I view my client as the expert of their life. I will listen to you attentively, in a non-judgemental way and provide time and a safe space for you to share your thoughts, perceptions, feelings and experiences. I believe that each person has strengths and the capacity to make changes in order to improve their overall well-being. By working collaboratively with you, I will help you to recognize your strengths, gain insights, enhance existing skills and learn new skills that will help you to overcome challenges, resolve issues and heal.
I look forward to meeting and working with you.
