Dr. Jack Ferrari is a Psychologist, registered in Ontario since 1981, who has close to 40 years experience in the field of mental health. He has worked with a wide variety of clientele; he worked at what was then St. Thomas Psychiatric Hospital from 1974 to 1985, on admission units, male disturbed unit, brain syndrome unit, and rehab units, doing both therapy and assessments, as well as committee and educational work. In 1985 he moved over to what was then London Psychiatric Hospital, working in admission and outpatient programs, as well as serving on committees and providing education and supervision.
When the psychiatric hospitals came under the administration of St. Joseph's Health Care, London, he became Professional Practice Leader for Psychology (in 2001), a position that involved advocacy for the profession, maintenance of profession specific standards for the organization, education, and research. 
Dr. Ferrari has been an Adjunct Faculty member at Western University in the Department of Psychology for most of his hospital tenure, and for the last decade or so has been Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychiatry. He has supervised and taught many psychology graduate students and medical students.
Dr. Ferrari has supervised about 30 new psychologists for their final entry requirements to the profession.
He has given numerous guest lectures, workshops, and talks on a number of subjects, and in a number of settings, including treatment of schizophrenia, utility of neuropsychological assessments in psychiatry, hypnotic approaches to treatment, and multivariate statistics. He has taught various undergraduate courses, such as Human Adjustment, Human Sexuality, and Humanistic Psychology. 
He has served on the board of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, and chaired the Complaints Committee for 2 years (during a 6 year period of membership). He has served on the executive of the Ontario Psychological Association, and was President in 2006-2007. He holds memberships in a number of organizations, including the Canadian Psychological Association, the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, and the Society for Exploration of Integrative Psychotherapy.
Since 2010, Dr. Ferrari has been in full time private practice, with a variety of clientele, offering psychotherapy and assessments.
