James Foster &
Associates is a private practice serving Manchester, NH and the surrounding
community since 1982. We work with children, adolescents, couples, adults and families. We provide a private, safe and confidential office setting for our clients. We understand that it may be difficult to reach out for counseling. Our counselors and office staff will help you through this beginning process and will explain our services and answer any questions you have.
WHAT AREAS DO YOU WORK WITH?
Our staff counsels individuals experiencing anxiety,
depression, anger management, domestic violence, relational, couple issues,
behavioral/school issues, PTSD and Trauma. We also help those who require
drug and alcohol counseling, DUI Evaluations, Court Ordered

WHO WILL BE MY THERAPIST?
We have an exceptional group of well trained experienced clinicians in our office.
Each clinician offers caring and compassionate counseling in their work with their client's.
Upon the initial contact, clients will provide information and a brief description for how we can help them. This information along with the client's needs, scheduling and insurance will be used to assign the appropriate therapist to the client. The client's comfort level is very important to us and we will take the time to answer questions and explain services so that a client will know what to expect.
Our staff is
comprised of several Licensed male and female Psychotherapists who work with a wide range of issues. We offer both day, evening and Saturday appointments. They also accept most
Our Mental Health Counselor who is a Post Graduate working
toward licensure counsels individuals, couples and families with multiple
issues and is able to accept a sliding scale fee.
Our Mastered Alcohol and Drug Counselor (MLADAC) works with individuals who require addiction counseling and DUI Evaluations.
Our office is committed
to the ongoing training and support of staff. Our Clinicians participate
regularly in training and education remaining adept in current research and
findings in their specialty areas. The Director, James Foster consults
with staff both in a collaborative group setting as well as individually on a
WHO IS JAMES FOSTER, LICSW?
James Foster, the
Director at James Foster & Associates has provided services to Manchester
and the surrounding community for over 30 years. He was originally
trained in classical and traditional methods. His current training and
methods represent the most current information available in the treatment of
attachment and trauma issues. He has trained graduate and post graduate
students for over 20 years. He has also provided treatment for domestic
violence male and female offenders and victims for over 20 years.
His methods are fresh, innovative and current. Mr. Foster also
maintains a collaborative and working relationship with a number of schools,
corporations and other community agencies.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Our friendly office
staff will answer any questions regarding services and/or insurance questions
you may have. We accept most insurances and our staff will verify
your coverage and help you through the process of beginning your
treatment at James Foster & Associates.
