I completed my Master of Arts degree at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and fulfilled my postgraduate clinical training in California.
EXPERIENCE : Experiencing multiple cultures in all the places I have lived along with my clinical training has provided me with deep insight and a practical view of the problems we face in our relationships, personal and professional lives. As a result, I can help address a variety of issues in your life.  JAMIE WORKS WITH :

JAMIE'S PASSION : I have a passion for assisting clients find balance and recognize the importance of considering their person as a whole -- the mind-body connection as part of the means of finding balance. I work from a Humanistic Growth model of therapy which strives to help fulfill a client's potential and maximize their wellbeing rather than concentrating on dysfunction. I have seen great success working with motivated individuals and couples who are willing to invest in their personal growth and self betterment. I am aware of people's spiritual needs and I respect anyone's spiritual convictions, and at times find that many people are actually on a deeper quest of spirituality in their live. It is my pleasure to assist my clients in this area.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN SESSION :
Each person's work with me is individualized and tailored according to the individual, couple's or family's needs. You can expect to be explore your relationships, consider your feelings, be respected and have a relaxing environment to share about yourself and your struggles. You can expect a typical therapy "hour" to be 50-55 minutes, unless a different time is planned for in advance.
BENEFITS OF THERAPY :
The outcome of one's experience of receiving therapy really varies per person. Some individuals experience relief in their symptoms or distress with the onset of therapy and others challenges or struggles feel as if there are more intense or challenging in the beginning. This can happen due to the person getting some push back from the changes they are making or the uncomfortable feelings one has by considering or trying to things. The key is to make sure that you push through this part of the struggle which will be possible if you've found a therapist that you feel comfortable with and supported by. Listed below are some benefits that others have experienced:
  • Improved communication and interpersonal skills
  • Greater self-acceptance and self-esteem
  • Ability to change self-defeating behaviors/habits
  • Better expression and management of emotions, including anger
  • Relief from depression, anxiety or other mental health conditions
  • Increased confidence and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage stress effectively
  • Improved problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
