Jason, with is many years of experience, is equipped to help his clients work through life transitions while focusing on self-worth and self-esteem. With a focus on self-care and holistic health Jason helps his clients take on anxiety, depression, grief, and a wide variety of other obstacles. Jason looks to empower his clients and give them the tools they need to work through all of life’s many challenges. He has experience working with families helping them to communicated, and set and hold boundaries, as well as offering assistance co-parenting.
Jason also assists those working through Trauma and PTSD. He is certified in EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, which is a highly effective and sought-after treatment for individuals suffering from trauma. Overcoming trauma is made all the easier when you have someone there to guide you and offer support and Jason is passionate about being that support for his clients.
Jason Meyer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Master of Social Work Degree and from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Psychology. His focus is primarily based on Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with additional experience working with Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and components of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Jason has been working in the mental health field for nearly 18 years, most of which he has spent working with individual children, small groups, and families within residential treatment settings. He has worked with many clients and families with extensively diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, all struggling to find the support and guidance necessary to make sustainable positive change in their lives.
