My Work: I help students and professionals whose lives are held back by depression, anxiety, and additions to reclaim their life from mental health symptoms so that they experience joy, peace, and freedom in life again.
I specialize in helping people who experience:
  • Have you been struggling with sadness, tearfulness, and a sense of emptiness?
  • Have you been feeling tired and drained almost all the time?
  • Do you often feel guilt, worthless, or fixate on past failures?

  • Have you been struggling with feelings of panic, fear, and uneasiness?
  • Are you often unable to stay calm and still?
  • Do you find yourself thinking about a problem over and over again and unable to stop

  • Do you have difficulties cutting down or controlling addictive behaviors?
  • Have you found yourself obsessing with the addiction and spending a lot of time on planning, engaging in, or recovering from the addictive behaviors?
  • Has your life started to center around the addiction in a way that is negatively affecting other areas of your life?

I can help you to:
  • Decrease depressive symptoms, restore a sense of well-being, and discover joy in life again
  • Lessen anxiety symptoms, reclaim your thoughts and feelings, and find peace in life again
  • Better manage addictive behavior, regain control of your life, health, and happiness, and experience freedom in life again

About my Clients:
I work with bright and capable individuals who secretly struggle with self-doubt, low self-esteem, and strong inner critics. On the outside, many of my clients are competent and successful. However, beneath the surface, they struggle with crippling depression, debilitating anxiety, or out-of-control addictive behaviors. In my work, I help my clients to quiet their inner critics, calm their self-doubt, and increase their self-esteem so that what they feel inward would finally match how they look outwardly.
My approach:
I draw insight from Attachment, Psychodynamic, and Family System theories. That means I believe that your early experience, relationship with caregivers, and the family dynamic you grow up with continue to influence and shape your behaviors, feelings, and experience today. In our work, I will guild you towards understanding the roots of your pain and struggles so that healing can start to happen. That does NOT mean that we are going to point fingers at parents or family. We are here to understand how you have become the person you are today and how you can move forward to become the person you truly are.
Me as an Asian American Therapist:
As an Asian American therapist and immigrant, I also specialize in helping people who left their homeland to explore issues around the home, belonging, and identity. I understand firsthand the challenges and pains one faces around acculturation and assimilation. I am committed to helping immigrants and international students find a balance between fitting into the new culture and maintaining a tie to their cultural heritage.
