If you are suffering from low self-esteem or depression - or if you are in a relationship that could use some help, we may be a good fit for each other. I mostly see adult individuals and couples struggling with feeling not good enough. In addition to low self-esteem and relationship issues, I also love working with Highly Sensitive Persons (HSPs) and am an LGBTQ ally.

Our First Session Together:
  • During our first session, and throughout therapy together, I will pay particular attention to helping you feel safe and supported.
  • I will ask about your goals and can provide feedback on whether therapy with me is a place for you to meet your needs.
  • If you feel we are not a good fit, I will encourage you to continue your journey and can provide referrals.

What to Expect During Therapy:
  • In a typical session with me, I will encourage you to be honest and vulnerable, and I will support you in this process.
  • If you are feeling anxious, I will encourage you to slow down.
  • Most likely, I will mirror back to you the parts of yourself that are often hard for you to appreciate.
  •  My hope is that you become increasingly confident in your own unique capacities and talents.
  • In addition, I pay close attention to the relationship between us. Ideally you are given an experience of someone who celebrates you and with whom you can be your fullest self.

More About Me:
When my father died suddenly in my early 20s, I sought help from a therapist. After that experience, I knew someday I'd be a therapist. But before going back to graduate school, I worked as an organizer and advocate for a non-profit. In this work, I advocated for women’s health and equality in LGBTQ relationships and identities. I have a personal and educational background in feminist theory and gender studies and I include this in the way I work as a therapist.
I also worked at a yoga studio, eventually managing a yoga studio in Austin. I continue the practice of yoga, deep breathing, grounding, and mindfulness in my personal life and enjoy including this background in session. I finally made my way to St. Edward’s, graduating with Honors. It is indeed an honor to work now as a therapist. In addition to my private practice, I serve on the Board of the Austin Association of Marriage and Family Therapists as the Public Relations Director.
If you think we may be a good fit, I encourage you to call me.
