My Practice:
As a Licensed Psychologist, I work with adults, adolescents, and children. While I treat clients facing many challenges, some common goals I help my clients address include:
  • Improving self-esteem / building confidence
  • Relationship enhancement
  • Reducing anxiety and stress
  • Coping with depression
  • Adjusting to life challenges or transitions

If you are facing difficulties with stress, decision-making, loneliness, relationships, or work, I may be able to help.
My Approach:
My approach to psychotherapy integrates multiple treatment methods. In deciding which treatment approach to use, I consider the unique challenges you hope to target in therapy and use the latest research to craft an approach tailored to be effective for you. My primary approach is cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), which focuses on challenging negative patterns of thinking and behavior in order to alter emotional reactions and behavior patterns that are associated with life dissatisfaction. CBT provides individuals with powerful tools to achieve their goals and live healthier, more productive lives.
About Me:
Throughout my education and career, I have worked in clinical, school, and community settings. I am a Washington State Licensed Psychologist and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. I received my Doctorate in Psychology, Certificate of Advanced Study, and Master of Science with Distinction in School-Community Psychology degree from Hofstra University, and earned my Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College of Columbia University. I am a member of the American Psychological Association, the Washington State Psychological Association, and the National Association of School Psychologists.
What To Expect:
As a professional, I will use my best knowledge and skills to help you. This includes following the standards of the American Psychological Association.

Psychotherapy is not like visiting a medical doctor for a shot; it is a partnership that requires your best efforts to change thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. As the client, you define the problem areas you want to address; I use my specialized knowledge to help you enact positive changes in your life.

Our first few sessions will involve an evaluation of your needs. By the end of our first or second session, I will be able to offer you some first impressions of how I see your case and how I think we should proceed. I do not take on clients I do not think I can help;If you could benefit from a treatment I cannot provide, I will help you to get it.
Payment and Insurance:

If you have health insurance, it may pay for a part or all of the cost of your treatment.  I accept plans from
  • First Choice
  • Premera
  • Regence
  • Aetna

Because health insurance is issued by many different companies, I cannot tell you what your specific plan covers; please read your plan’s booklet to find out what you need to know.

I also accept payment by cash, check, credit, or debit, either in the office or by phone.
