Jeremy Siemens recently moved to Cranbrook from Calgary, Alberta. He is a Registered Clinical Counsellor in BC, and a Registered Psychologist in Alberta, and has applied for registration with the College of Psychologists of BC. Jeremy is a friendly, down-to-earth and compassionate therapist who enjoys helping and supporting people as they face various life issues.

Jeremy’s Approach:
Jeremy integrates a variety of therapeutic models into his work, with the aim of providing the best fit for each client. His primary approaches incorporate principles from Person-Centered Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, EMDR, Gottman method, and emotion and attachment focused therapies, as well as cognitive and mindfulness based techniques.

Jeremy’s Background:
Jeremy has over 14 years of experience working with people with mental health and / or disability issues in a variety of contexts, including the Mustard Seed, Canadian Mental Health Association, and at Journey Counselling in Calgary. He has received training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1, EMDR Basic Training, and completed his counselling practicum at Karunia Counselling Service in Leduc, AB. He has an MA in Counselling Psychology from Providence Seminary in Manitoba, a previous MA studying Theology and History from the University of St. Michael’s College in the University of Toronto, as well as a BA from Ambrose University in Calgary.
Jeremy's rates are the same for individual or couples counselling, at $150/hr.
Couples sessions are usually booked for 1.5hrs, and so the total for the longer session would be $225.
Receipts can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement if your plan covers Registered Clinical Counsellors. Some insurers may also cover Jeremy based on his additional registration as a psychologist in Alberta, but please check with your insurer to confirm this.
In the event of financial difficulties, Jeremy can provide a sliding scale fee option on a case by case basis. 
Jeremy's office has a warm and comfortable atmosphere overlooking Cranbrook and the Rocky Mountains, inside the historic Colonel Baker Home (a big yellow house) on the north end of Baker Park. The address is 1601 - 1st Street S, and you can access parking via the gravel drive way just off of 1st Street (east of 14th Avenue). The office is on the main floor, enter via the wheelchair-accessible ramp, which leads to the front door and waiting area.
