Work Experience
First Responder:I recently retired from my work as a police officer of 18 years. Most of my career focused on assisting children, youth, women and families in crisis. This valuable experience has been instrumental in developing my appreciation for the innate qualities of the human spirit to be resilient and find growth when faced with adversity. My kind and compassionate approach was recognized by the people I assisted, my co workers and the help agencies I worked along side.

Adoption Social Worker:
For 16 years I worked part time in private practice as an adoption social worker. I am an adoptee from a family with six adopted children, with various abilities. My family comprised of both international and domestic adoptions. Adoption is an area I have knowledge of and is of particular interest to me.

Mental Health Crisis Clinician

I have recently worked part time for 4 years as a crisis mental health clinician working with children and adolescents in a hospital setting. This experience was invaluable in helping me learn and assist children and youth in crisis.

Private Practice Counselling:
Counselling has been a passion of mine for several years. I have worked in private practice for over 16 years on a part time basis, while raising my family and working in my public service occupations.
My work, life experiences and learning have enriched and informed who I am as a counsellor. I’m excited to be able to to commit myself to full time private practice in Victoria.

My life:

I have a supportive life partner of 20 years and we share three fun and exciting children. I recently moved with my family from the Fraser Valley to beautiful Victoria. I enjoy learning, reading, running, swimming, yoga, art, being outside and most of all spending time with family and friends.
