Jungian Analysis provides a unique opportunity to deepen our capacity as human beings to love and to live in a productive way as well as to chart one's personal journey of soul building and personal transformation. Working with our dreams, imagination, conflicts, hurts, fears and personal relationships, we can deepen our capacity to experience the richness of life and to celebrate our personal journey toward wholeness.
I would find genuinely rewarding to share your inner exploration to find your individual path to self understanding and personal fulfillment. This is not to suggest that analytic work is easy. In fact, quite the opposite. Analysis requires courage and commitment and some hard work. There are always setbacks and struggles in life, but analysis can help you not make the same mistakes over and over again. If you feel there is more to you than you presently experience, it may well be that we could share some fruitful time together.
I have moved to Charleston a little over two years ago and am looking to be useful here as a psychotherapist, teacher, and supervisor. I have been in the private practice of Jungian psychoanalysis in Manhattan since July of 1977. I am senior member of the faculty of the C.G. Jung Institute in New York and a supervising psychologist for the training program.
I am a professional member of the Internatonal Association of Analytical Psychologists, and the New York Association for Analytical Psychology. I am a Diplomate Psychoanalyst in the National Accreditation Association and the American Examining Board of Psychoanalysis. I am a Diplomate Pastoral Psychotherapist in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. I am a graduate of the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland; a Ph.D (with Distinction) in Psychiatry and Religion from the Union Theological Seminary in New York City; an M.Div.(with Honors) from The General Theological Seminary in New York City; and a Magna cum Laude B.A. from Furman University.
I have been a tenured professor of Pastoral Theology at two seminaries as well as an adjunct at 4 other seminaries and universities; pastor of several churches, and author of a number of articles and reviews on marriage and family issues, physical disability, and pastoral care concerns.
I welcome the chance to help you come to know yourself in a deeper way and experience an increased sense of joy and freedom.
