My name is Kathryn Doll and I am a licensed psychotherapist and Registered Art Therapist with over 20 years of experience helping people. I work with adults, children, and adolescents. I use a holistic approach, helping you navigate your concerns so that you can honor the past, yet live in the present and move forward in life. If you are interested in breaking negative patterns, living with clarity and peace, and healing emotional wounds, I would be honored to work with you. I believe that true healing occurs based on the foundation of a caring and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship, combined with a focused treatment plan tailored to your goals. I draw from various therapeutic approaches such as traditional talk therapy, brief solution focused therapy, rapid trauma resolution, art therapy, cognitive therapy, and play therapy techniques.
Therapy will be tailored to meet your needs and goals. One of the most important things I learned over the years, and especially as I trained in Rapid Resolution Therapy (TM) is that as your therapist, it is my job to understand your concerns and provide you with the experience of healing and freedom to move forward. As human beings, we can easily become "stuck" in the past, responding and living in a way that holds us back from our true capabilities. I don't believe that therapy has to be painful or disturbing, or that you have to relive negative experiences to experience healing. My approach is gentle, effective, and creative.
If creative expression "speaks" to you, I can help you use art therapy and your innate creativity to express and explore challenges and strengths. Art therapy is focused on the process of creating for personal growth and insight. By using art you can access your inner truth through nonverbal communication. Artistic ability is not required!
I am experienced working with people of all ages who are facing depression, anxiety, behavior problems, the ongoing effects of trauma, life changes, loss, and gender dysphoria. Whether you are seeking therapy for yourself or for your child, I am dedicated to providing quality, effective care built on the solid foundation of a healing therapeutic relationship.
My comfortable office is handicapped accessible and conveniently located in Coral Springs. My hours are 7:00 AM to 8 PM, Monday- Friday.
I am passionate about helping others make sense of life and function at their highest levels. I provide a comprehensive phone consultation prior to meeting with you. During your first session, we will explore your concerns, challenges, and strengths, then discuss the best way to reach your goals.
I hold a Master's of Social Work degree and a Master's degree in Art Therapy. I am also trained in Rapid Resolution Therapy (TM), which helps you resolve trauma gently, with no need to relive painful experiences.
