Kelly is a Social Worker/Psychotherapist with over a dozen years experience working with individuals, couples, families and groups. Kelly is registered with the OCSWSSW (Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers), OASW (Ontario Association of Social Workers) and a member of BON (Bereavement Ontario Network). Her B.A. in Psychology is from University of Waterloo, her B.S.W. and M.S.W. are from York University.
Kelly is trained in the following modalities of therapy: Expressive Arts, Narrative, Cognitive Behavioural, Self-Relationships, Solution Focused, and Mindfulness. Additionally, Kelly is an artist, writer, musician, and reiki practitioner, all which influences the development of her practice. Kelly’s training lends itself to mindfully incorporating the creative into the counselling process. Kelly will frequently use writing, life mapping, or some form of art along with therapeutic dialogue. She has found that sometimes there are things that occur in life where there are no words that can address it. Allowing other forms of self-expression can address that which cannot be (immediately) expressed by words.
