I am here to help. I fully embrace the "4C's" of my profession, an acronym I coined, which stands for caring, compassionate, competent, and well connected in the mental health community. You deserve the best, and that is all I offer. My ideal client is someone like you: that is, a person who is serious about improving, growing, and overcoming (or least better managing) whatever it is you need help with now. In general, I work with addictions, sexuality, sexual orientation, gender, gender dysphoria, gender identity, and relationship issues.
Please note that I live in Calgary so most of my clients live here, but I do offer online counselling through a secure service made specifically for physicians and psychologists (similar to Skype or FaceTime). Most people find this as helpful as seeing me in person. You must live in Alberta, however, as this is the only province in which I am licensed to practice.
I have written 8 books in total, and I am currently writing a textbook called "Addictions Counseling Today: Substances and Addictive Behaviors" for Sage, one of the largest publishers of textbooks in the U.S. I have written two others textbooks, one of which is called "Counseling LGBTI Clients."
I am an expert in helping. I am a respectful therapist who is deeply concerned about what matters right now to you. I have 31 years of experience, and despite my accomplishments, I am unpretentious, present, and humble. I am competent in many forms of psychotherapy.
