I enjoy helping clients in their journey through life, whether it's working on a mental health issue, communication problems within a relationship, self-growth and exploration, parenting, or needing someone to listen and process life's difficulties.
For children, teens, and families, I specialize in addressing behavioral problems/defiance, parents' divorce, depression, suicidal thoughts, self-injurious behaviors such as cutting, ADHD, bullying, self-esteem issues, anxiety, trauma (such as experiencing or witnessing abuse), being removed from one's home, or educating or supporting parents. I also hold a Registered Play Therapist credential.
Counseling can provide a safe place for your child/teen to open up about the difficulties they are facing. It can be hard if your child/teen is shutting you out, but you know something is wrong with them. You're not alone; many parents struggle to know what to say or do to help them. Even if you are doing a good job as a parent, you may find that your teen doesn't want to open up about everything, and it can help to have a therapist for them to talk to and work through things with.
For adults I specialize in couples counseling, whether it's addressing infidelity (physical or emotional affairs), communication issues or constant arguing, financial stress, emotional or physical abuse, boredom within the relationship, not seeing eye-to-eye regarding important areas, jealousy, insecurity, baggage from past relationships, or intimacy problems. You can learn how to communicate, understand, and enjoy being with each other. I'm committed to helping couples get their relationship back on track.
I also provide psychotherapy for adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, anger management, trauma or PTSD, loss or grief, or those looking for self-growth.
