The problems of addiction, anxiety, depression and low self-esteem are normal responses to painful life experiences.
I combine traditional client-centered and gestalt therapy approaches with mindfulness meditation practices to help you recover from: addiction; PTSD; depression; trauma; anxiety; sexual, emotional and physical abuse; and low self-esteem. I will help you integrate your spiritual beliefs into your recovery process so that you may tap into resources that are generally not incorporated within traditional psychotherapy. I will provide you with a fully accepting and non-judgmental environment that will give you the opportunity to identify, process and adaptively heal your emotional, physical, cognitive and spiritual wounds - without shame, guilt or fear.
I spent the first years of my career as an attorney. Wanting to have a deeper connection with individuals, I attended the Rutgers University School of Social Work where I received my Master’s degree. I have worked at various secular and Christian non-profit agencies in New Jersey focusing on group and individual therapy. I have worked with adolescents and adults, and have developed a unique approach to helping clients discern the issues they want to address through self-acceptance and spiritual practices leading to positive and healthier self-perceptions.
I am a graduate of Brown University, Fordham University School of Law and Rutgers University School of Social Work. I currently live in South Orange, NJ, with my wife and 3 children.
