Who I Help:
Are you here because you have experienced something traumatic? Or perhaps you are not sure whether something happened or not?
You may be experiencing intense memories, nightmares, panic attacks, rapid heart rate, anxious breathing, feeling stuck, difficult to control anger, cloudiness, racing thoughts, loss of interest in things you normally enjoy, feeling anxious, difficulty connecting with others, difficulty trusting others, feelings of wanting to die, suicidal or non-suicidal self-harm, substance use and/or addiction, among countless other symptoms.

My name is Kristina de Bree. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Trauma therapist with a private practice in Valencia, California. I have been practicing since 2011, more than 9 years. I have a passion for working with individuals struggling with trauma and trauma related disorders.
In addition to being a psychotherapist, I am also a consultant and speaker. I have trained many therapists in the Santa Clarita Valley to improve their practice of EMDR with clients. I have been featured in numerous publications such as LA Times, The Signal, Elite Magazine, The Daily News and more. I have consulted with a vast array of professionals from students to licensed mental health professionals to medical doctors and corporations.
Why I Do What I Do:
As someone who was born with a catastrophic medical illness, I lived most of my childhood and adult life in a hospital setting.
I experienced trauma, depression and anxiety starting at a young age. It took me over 20 years and 7 different therapists before finding relief from my symptoms.
After recovering from my own mental health struggles, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career as a licensed mental health professional, specialize in trauma, and get the best training available to help others work through their own challenges, difficult life experiences and pain.
· I have a Master of Arts Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing and Business Administration from California State University – Northridge
I am an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant
