My Mission:
To support, equip, and empower clients as they navigate the challenges along their journey.

About Me:
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). I earned my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University.
I truly love what I do and feel incredibly privileged to be invited into others’ journeys. I really enjoy the 1-on-1 relationships that my work involves. I am a counsellor and I am also a client, I understand what it is like to step into a counselling office for the first time.
My Approach:
I create a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to share their story and be heard. I work with clients from all cultural backgrounds with various presenting issues. It is my belief that therapy is best conducted as a collaborative process whereby we create a therapeutic plan using evidence-based approaches in conjunction with clients' goals, cultural/spiritual lens, personality and experiences. I support clients by helping them to draw from their strengths and develop self-compassion as they engage in the therapeutic process.
I help clients navigate their challenges by drawing upon various therapeutic models such as mindfulness, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS) and I am trained in providing trauma-informed care. I work from the belief that every person has the capacity for change, and that I can be a supportive resource to help facilitate that change.
My Experience:
I have had the privilege of working with clients of all ages with a broad range of issues including: anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, anger, insomnia, work-related issues, suicidal ideation, relationship issues and clients with borderline personality disorder. My experience also includes work with female survivors of domestic violence as well as with inmates in a correctional facility. I am a licensed teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) and I worked as an educator in the school system before entering the counselling field.
Come as you are:
Taking your first step to seek counselling requires courage. In the words of Brené Brown,"our stories are not meant for everyone. Hearing them is a privilege." This is a privilege that I do not take lightly. I look forward to the opportunity to come alongside you wherever you are at on your journey.
