When you are experiencing mental health challenges, it
can feel like your life is falling apart. It is not uncommon to feel overwhelmed
or alone. It can feel like something is missing, that it’s challenging to make
sense of your experience, or that you don’t even know where to begin. There can
be times we feel especially stuck and discouraged, and we need some extra
support. Counselling can help you in gaining clarity, moving forwards with
hope, and acknowledging your resilience.
My hope is to support you in feeling more fulfilled
and connected in your life, in feeling like yourself again, and in living more
satisfyingly and resourcefully. We will work together to learn about you and
the issues you are experiencing, to explore different options, choices, perspectives,
and to develop creative ways of dealing with life’s challenges.
Deciding to begin counselling with a psychologist is

can be challenging to reveal truths, feelings, and experiences that may not
have been shared with anyone else.
each person is unique, with different concerns and goals for counselling, the
experience will vary depending on the individual. I believe in taking the time to
develop an understanding of your unique circumstances, including supporting you in sharing
your concerns and how these concerns are affecting you. Not only does this help
me understand what you are experiencing, but it can also be helpful to you in gaining
insight into your situation. I then work with you to minimize the influence of
the problem in your life.
life continues to be enriched by the people I meet and the conversations we
have. I believe that it is through relationships that we come to know and value
ourselves, and I emphasize the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for
healing, growth, and change.
