I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, working out of SE Calgary.
I have several years of experience working with a diverse client
base facing a wide range of challenges. A few of these include trauma, grief
and bereavement, depression, anxiety, career challenges, and daily struggles. I
am committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and
non-judgmental environment for everyone who enters my office. I believe that when clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted, they
have the freedom to become their best selves.
I understand that the client is the expert on their own life, and I work collaboratively with the client to develop an individualized, holistic plan to help eliminate obstacles and reach desired goals. I trust fully in each clients’ inherent ability for optimal growth and work from a strengths-based perspective to empower clients.
Using an integrative approach to therapy, I draw heavily on Person Centred Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness-based approaches; however, I also rely on Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Schema Therapy to support my clients. In my couple’s work I use Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Couples Counselling. I value diversity in all of its beautiful forms, and so I embrace opportunities to work with culturally and ethnically diverse clients.
I believe the client-therapist relationship is crucial to positive therapeutic outcomes, therefore, I offer a free 20-minute consultation for new clients (in person or via phone/online) to answer their questions and allow them to determine if I am a good fit for them.
To promote availability and accessibility, I offer a variety of daytime and evening appointment times.
