At Mojo I work in a humanistic and client centered manner providing empathy and positive regard for my client’s thoughts, feelings and needs. I believe the client is the expert in his or her own life. My goal is to help the client help themselves through eliciting realizations. When a client can make these realizations they often feel empowered as the agent of change in their own life. I believe that careful challenging is important as we uncover discrepancies or incongruences in our beliefs thoughts, words and actions. I use theoretically proven therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural, Person Centered, Existential and Brief Solutions Focused. I believe strongly in Family Systems theory and will carefully examine your family of origin with you helping us to identify patterns and belief systems that have been transmitted generationally and may or may not serve you today. Mindfulness, meditation and creative visualization often prove to be powerful tools of transformation. Through psycho-education I can help you culminate new tools to assist you on your path to self-awareness and fulfilment.
The Philosophy Of Mojo
The key to my work is self- awareness and my clients may find themselves increasingly ready to look inside and discover the gold-mine of healing and growth that already exists within. I believe strongly that when a client takes the step to become vulnerable and work on themself, the bridge appears. The key is culminating a new belief that vulnerability is a strength and a strength that leads to living authentically and congruently in our MOJO.

The more in alignment our perception of ourself is with our ideal vision of ourself, the more we live in our MOJO. This kind of congruence allows us to live an authentic and centered life. We must first become aware of the two parts of us, that being our ideal self along with the person that we perceive ourself to be.

We are a culmination of our attitudes, opinions, beliefs and truths. Some of these serve us well and others are self-limiting. Through self-awareness we can take a look at our own paradigms and recognize them for the purpose they serve or no longer serve for us. We can then work towards better aligning our perception of ourself with our ideal self. Bad habits and self-defeating learned behaviours often live in the area of incongruence. Ultimately, our thoughts, beliefs and judgements create our feelings and our feelings lead to our behaviours. By examining the results we are getting in our lives, as well as generational transmissions from our family of origin, we can look deeply into what self -limiting beliefs are keeping us from personal fulfilment and congruence.

“Self-Awareness is the Foundation of Authenticity.”
