As a licensed professional counselor (LPC-MHSP #3309), I work with individual adults of all ages in private practice, located in East Nashville.

Congratulations for answering the call from within, the part of you who desires something different, or maybe it was a nudge from someone else that got you here. However, it happened, welcome!
With much compassion, patience, honesty, and skill, I invite you to discover deeper parts of yourself you've kept hidden or maybe didn't even know existed. Together we'll restore and integrate these parts of self to create a healthier more aware and connected you. An authentic you.

Prior Experience:
Many years ago, I wanted to become a therapist but wasn't ready. My own work had to come first before I could step into the arena with anyone else. Eventually, I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology with the intention of becoming a physical therapist. However, massage therapy took hold of my heart and I switched paths, becoming a nationally certified massage therapist, focusing on the treatment of chronic and acute physical pain using an assortment of deep tissue and structural integrative modalities.
This led to whole body balancing using various energy and physical based modalities. Repeatedly, I witnessed individual physical structures - the quality of tissue, the anatomical balance of each part to its whole, and the bodies movement - most notably how these physical observations correlate to the individual's emotions, beliefs, trauma, and personality. How we move and interact with others and Self reveals the integration of discontent or wellness throughout our whole being - emotional, physically, mental, and spiritual.
After unpacking my own issues, including an eating disorder, with consistent counseling, meditation, and life experience, I decided to become a professional counselor and received a Masters in Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University.
Clinical Orientation:
My therapeutic approach is heavy in mindfulness and the repair of early developmental attachment disruptions. I believe the source of suffering originates from our natural biology, early programming and beginnings, and poor attachment to caregivers as far back as life in the womb, as well as past generational trauma.
Common Private Practice Issues:
-  Low self-worth,
-  Thoughts of "not good enough"
-  Feeling different or disconnected from self or others
-  Relationship tension
-  Mood disorders
-  Anxiety disorders
-  Assortment of traumas
-  Drug/alcohol abuse
-  Personality disorders
-  Conflict Avoidant
Training and Clinical Experience:

This is an abbreviated list of my training but I hope it gives you an adequate understanding of my clinical experience and education as a professional counselor.
