  • I have been working in the mental health field for over 21 years. I started out counselling homeless teens at the House of Friendship Men's Shelter. Since then, I've worked with adults with severe and persistent mental health struggles for most of my career. A highlight of my career was receiving the Christine Wilson Outstanding Housing Community Worker award, along with my team. I thrive on giving compassion and support to those struggling with life's challenges.  Although I continue to work in a clinical mental health setting, private counselling has become a life-giving and creative part of my vocation as well.
  •  I developed a love for the outdoors growing up in Northern Ontario. I spend every doing something outside such as sunning, hiking, or skiing. I also enjoy photography and reading history. I have been married for 22 years to the love of my life and have two children. I studied political science at Laurier, then went on to do a Master's degree in Theological Studies (MTS) and finally completed my education with a Master's degree in Theological Studies (University of Windsor). I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers.
  •  I have called this area home for my entire married life and am firmly rooted in the core of Waterloo Region. I support individuals with depression, anxiety, relationships, disabilities, and overall health. I have over 21 years experience within the mental health sector providing support and counselling to those with a wide range of challenges. Is stress interfering with your ability to bounce back? Is anxiety's siren song hard to ignore? Is depression dogging your footsteps? Or you just aren't feeling like yourself anymore? I can help with a meaningful conversation about how to resonate with your deepest values and lead a life well lived.
  • My fellow social worker Brene Brown says - "Sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up." I know how hard that is to do but I have an unshakeable conviction that there is hope in even the most painful of situations. I care deeply from a place of lived experience and tenaciously work for each person's recovery recovery.
