Mary has experience working with a diverse group of client issues that include depression, anxiety, bereavement, low self- esteem and emotional dysregulation.
Mary has done specialized work with clients who have been victims of domestic violence, homicide and has had training on crisis intervention, including for suicide.
In addition to this, Mary has experience in working with families or individuals dealing with an ADHD diagnosis.
Due to her ten years of working in Human Resources, she is highly familiar with the challenges that occur at workplaces and has considerable skill identifying and resolving interpersonal conflict, communication differences, work-life balance concerns and exploring career development. In addition to that, her previous career in banking has given her expert knowledge in understanding financial matters and the impact they can have on couples and families.

Mary’s approach to counselling is one that is person centered. Her core belief is to first understand the client from their unique biopsychosocial approach. To her, the client is the person who is the expert in their own life and her job is to provide a neutral, open and empathetic space for them to share their story.
Mary feels humbled and honoured that clients are willing to give her their trust and is committed to meeting them where they are at in their life with a focus of providing non-judgmental listening and support.
