I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers (OCSW). I hold a Masters of Social Work Degree from the University of Wilfrid Laurier, a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from McMaster University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from Queen’s University.

I have experience working both individually and in groups with youth and adults in a wide variety of practice settings. I began my career volunteering at a local crisis centre, and then went on to work in hospital, school and community mental health settings. I have supported my clients through a vast array of challenges, including but not limited to; anxiety, depression, gender and sexuality changes, chronic pain, eating disorders, domestic violence, and PTSD to name but a few.

In terms of my practice approach, I like to offer flexibility to be able to meet my clients wherever they are at on their own unique journeys to healing. I believe no two clients experience any challenge in the exact same way, and I work collaboratively with my clients to find a treatment plan and approach that suits them best. I like to draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities when conducting my work, including, but not limited to; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness Based Practices and Self Compassion Work. Additionally, I always strive to work from both a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practice stance to support the safety and well-being of all the clients I work with.

I am deeply honoured and grateful to have the beautiful opportunity to walk alongside and support my clients as they face some of life’s gravest obstacles, and help to promote healing and lasting change within their lives.
