My goal is to help clients uncover their true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. My background in middle and high school guidance, coupled with experience in individual and family therapy, allows me to offer a full gamut of therapeutic interventions. While we can't change difficult changes of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life.
By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding them back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. Whether it’s looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or just ready to move in a new direction in life, I look forward to working together to achieve these goals.

By providing a comfortable and judgment free environment we will work collaboratively to foster empowerment and the creation of a positive path to growth and well-being. Through a variety of interventions I will help incorporate skills to cope with life’s stresses and promote emotional healthy living.
Prior to NW, I worked with youth, adults, couples, families and groups at the Saltzman Community Services Center at Hofstra University. I also worked as a School Counselor for students in grades 7-12 where I coached and facilitated psycho-educational groups for middle school aged children. Additionally, I have worked over 10 years with NCAA student-athletes as their academic advisor and counselor.

Using Solution Focused Therapy, I help clients adapt solution oriented skills to their presenting issues by highlighting existing strengths and promoting awareness of their ideal needs and wants. Using this competence-based approach, we utilize goal-oriented strategies to achieve their preferred outcomes.
Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I work with clients to facilitate behavior changes to maladaptive behavior and help redefine stressful situations into positive terms. By changing this negative path, clients learn to adopt healthier behaviors and the ability to stop the negative thoughts and behaviors that prevent them from moving forward.
Using a Mindfulness and Self-Acceptance approach allows me to promote self-awareness by helping the clients learn how to live in the moment and be in touch with their environment as a means of gaining control of their stress and anxieties.
