I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Major in Psychology and a Minor in Sociology and I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
I use a person-centered approach to therapy and believe that the relationship that you build between counsellor and therapist is what makes a difference in treatment. I focus on building empathetic, supportive relationships and a safe space as well as being authentic, collaborative and trustworthy. She can support you through grief, anxiety, depression, life transitions, or other mental health challenges.
I believe that you are the expert of your own life and you have the capacity for change within you. When life becomes overwhelming, you may not be able to see how well you really know yourself, making day to day tasks feel impossible. It can be beneficial to have someone to support you during those difficult times. As a therapist, I will work with you to come to those conclusions and find helpful solutions, and build coping strategies.
Asking for support shows me that you are so strong and brave. If you are ready to put in some work, I will work with you to support you through the difficult moments. I provide a convenient, safe, judgment-free space to express your thoughts and feelings.
The fact that you're here means you've already taken the first step. Feel free to reach out to me via email for more information or to set up our initial session.
