Narinder is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#12682) with the the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors with a Masters of Education in Counselling from Thompson Rivers University and a Bachelor's degree in Justice & Public Safety from Simon Fraser University *Golden Key International Honour Society.
Narinder's passion to assist others began at High Valley Youth Custody Centre in 1992 as a Youth Correctional Officer mentoring youth aged 12 to 18 years of age. In 2006 he transitioned to the Kamloops Adult Probation Office where his current role is that of Senior Probation Officer. Over the course of his 27+ years in both custody and community corrections, Narinder has partnered with numerous community partners including the ASK Wellness Centre, Kamloops Mental Health & Addictions, Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Adult Forensics, Interior Health, Kamloops Brain Injury Association (KBIA), Interior Community Services (ICS) and John Howard Society to collaboratively support those in need.
Narinder brings a Systemic Family Therapy & Mindfulness approach to working with families and he also has extensive experience working with groups (men) convicted of domestic violence. The goal is to empower these men with tools to effectively listen, communicate, compromise and re-establish healthy relationships. In addition, Narinder case manages and supports those who suffer from mental health issues including psychiatric and personality disorders and he utilizes his strong community connections to refer clients, who require more extensive interventions, to mental health professionals within our community.

Addiction Issues (youth or adult), Couples & Family Counselling, Effective Communication and Mindfulness (*based on Dr. Ronald Siegel), Healthy Boundaries, Anger Management, Coaching, Parenting Strategies, Basic Mental Health Issues and Goal Setting.
Narinder was born in Kamloops, he graduated from Norkam Senior Secondary and he and his wife are raising their children in this dynamic community. Narinder was raised in a home where Punjabi was the primary language, so he encourages those of you who are more comfortable with Punjabi to contact him. He is sensitive to the cultural nuances and sensitivities in the Asian community, understanding the importance of providing support in a safe, non-judgemental, professional and confidential manner.
Narinder also provides counselling services with the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) as a certified therapist listed on the FNHA list of counsellors in the Kamloops area.
Narinder is an avid sports enthusiast who was an avid soccer player and who also volunteers with the Kamloops Minor Hockey Association. He looks forward to assisting you on your path to holistic health.
