Nicole approaches therapy from a strengths-based, empowerment framework, offering a creative and comfortable place for clients to identify and explore their core beliefs and find balance and meaning in life. Sessions focus on the development of a therapeutic rapport, addressing obstacles arising in all areas of life, and creating well-balanced solutions. Personal healing and the celebration of clients strengths are key concepts in session and the outcome is increased confidence, self-esteem and enthusiasm for life. Men, women, adolescents, couples and families of all ages are welcome and sessions are customized to meet the individual needs of each client.
Nicole has special interest in empowerment and self esteem development and has worked for many years with single parents, women who have faced abuse in their lives and men and women who struggle with boundaries and confidence. In addition to her regular sessions, she offers individual workshops specifically designed to assist with the development of personal growth and goal setting, healing and forgiveness, boundaries, and overall wellness.
Nicole has previous work experience in the areas of teaching, violence prevention, HIV & AIDs education, Health Care Social Work, individual and couples counselling, group development and facilitation, grief work, faith and forgiveness, women's health,single parenting, criminal justice social work, mental health and addictions,teen pregnancy, EMDR, mediation and parenting.
Nicole holds a Masters of Social Work from the University of the Fraser Valley.
