Welcome. I do so enjoy being along side people as they forge ahead to create the lives that they hope to achieve. Your needs and how to find your personal road are specific to you. Feel free to see how you feel by having a free half hour chat with me.

Registered Psychotherapists are required to do our own psychotherapy as it assists us in recognizing when you may feel vulnerable shamed or frightened. Our life experience helps us empathize with your ponderings.

I have enjoyed an artistically creative life and use that inventiveness in my practice.

Some of the concerns that I have been able to help people with:

  • Feeling like your thoughts are scattered
  • Feeling as if life is passing you by
  • Your emotions don’t seem to match how you behave
  • Trying to deal with the loss of someone close
  • At times do you feel stuck such as creative block

There are many ways to understanding your inner self through bodily sensation, thoughts, and feelings and of course actions. For instance if some of your concerns are that you feel lonely by learning to understand yourself more deeply it can help you to feel more connection to others.

Your therapy is full of choices in how you would like to approach a given goal, which changes as needed.

My goal as your therapist is to have as trusting relationship as possible with you so that you can feel free to discuss difficult experiences. Trust is not an expectation and takes time.

Often when one is feeling depressed, the means to understanding what has gone awry is in your relationship with yourself and others. Therefore it is helpful to understand how to identify your personal patterns of responding to family and other close relationships. This may involve grieving the loss of expectations that were not met before creating a new relational foundation so that your responses are according to your authentic needs and desires.

This process is transformative, helping to you feel more vitality and curiosity to participate in the world around you.

A sense of despair and helplessness may feel as if hope for a productive future as lost. This can occur when difficult life changes stimulate some of these old fears and struggles. More concerns that I have been able to help people with:

  • Family difficulties
  • Shame
  • Work related concerns
  • Relationships
  • Chronic medical problems
  • Blended families/adoptions/etc.
  • Memory difficulties
  • Grief

I have been practicing for almost 20 years. During that time I have belonged to the International Society for Studies in Trauma and Dissociation and the Ontario Society of Psychotherapists and have been active in various positions with each organization.

My approach is multi disciplined including focus on somatic expression Energy Psychology exploration of early childhood through various avenues and gentle exploration through discussion of your life experiences.

I do look forward to talking to you in the near future.
