I am a licensed clinical social worker and certified Imago relationship therapist. I work with individuals, couples, and families and offer two convenient locations in Northern Virginia with easy access from downtown, D.C. My scope of practice includes, couples experiencing infidelity, divorce, infertility, and other marital and relational struggles. In addition, I work with many individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, sexual and child abuse, attachment issues, addiction, eating disorders, and grieving. I have experience working with families in transition whether it be through divorce, separation or other life stressors.
Previously, I worked for The Pastoral Counseling and Consultation Center of D.C. (also known as The Imago Center of D.C.). Prior to that, I was at the Barker Foundation as the Director for their domestic adoption program. I have also worked for Lutheran Children and Family Services of St. Louis in both their adoption and counseling programs.
In addition to my clinical work, I spent a number of years working in public policy in the U.S. Senate and at the Department of Health and Human Services, specializing in both health care and child welfare policy. I have a Masters in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and a Bachelors of Science with a Minor in Economics from the University of Delaware.
