Ron Cook is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing
in individual, marriage, and family counseling in Fort Myers, FL.
With 5 years of experience as a clinician, more than 15
years of experience in Christian ministry, and a Master of Divinity with
specialization in Psychology and Counseling degree, Ron is equipped to deal with a broad spectrum of clients
and their unique concerns. Among his
areas of expertise are marriage enrichment, affair recovery, trauma recovery,
depression and anxiety, and grief counseling.
With a unique blend of Biblical expertise, psychological
training, and practical experience, Ron is a practical, solution-focused
therapist. Using a variety of
therapeutic interventions, including brief, cognitive-behavioral, and systems
theory, Ron seeks to help each client develop a unique pathway towards hope,
healing, and restoration. Ron’s approach
to counseling is characterized by compassion, conviction, humor, and perspective.
Ron holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Christian Studies and
Philosophy from Mississippi College and a Master of Divinity Degree with
Specialization in Psychology and Counseling from New Orleans Baptist
Theological Seminary. Ron has also
devoted himself to continued study and training in the areas of marriage and
family counseling, trauma recovery, mental health, and sexual addiction.
Ron is a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor
with the Board of Christian Professional and Pastoral Counselors and a member
of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Ron is the Founder and Executive Director of Abundant Life
Christian Counseling Center in Fort Myers, FL, a nonprofit organization
dedicated to providing affordable, Biblically based, professional counseling to
individuals, couples, and families.
In addition to his work in Southwest Florida, Ron also
travels worldwide, counseling, debriefing, and encouraging Christian
