Since the onset of the Covid pandemic, many people have become used to online communication, including therapy. I have been working with clients online for the past five years and have found most of my clients to be pleasantly surprised by how effective and comfortable counselling can be from the comfort of their own space. Most have affirmed that they experience just as much relief and success via the online medium as they do in person. Online therapy works well for people looking for tools to overcome depression and anxiety, develop self esteem, deal with anger, and for couples wanting to heal relationship issues. It does not work well for those dealing with trauma or attachment issues.
