Sally Halliday, MA,
Sally Halliday is a registered clinical counsellor working
with individuals, couples and organizations. Sally brings over a decade of experience and expertise as a
human behaviour specialist to support people who want to make changes for themselves and in their relationships with others.
Sally believes that with commitment, willingness and action—change is possible. We all experience turbulent times in our lives, and the process of therapy can help people clarify what really matters now and work through obstacles in order to live a more fulfilling life. Sally’s goal is to empower her clients to develop insight and awareness, build skills, solve problems, and change behavior in constructive ways. As people become more aware of limiting thoughts, emotions and actions—change emerges.
Sally works with a variety of issues that have people feeling stuck or uncertain: depression, trauma, assertiveness, self-esteem, relationship concerns, career dissatisfaction, anxiety and women's issues. Drawing on solid clinical experience including community-based agencies, cancer centres, Employee and Family Assistance Programs, university classrooms, college counselling centres, and corporate work, Sally brings a strengths-based perspective and a holistic clinical model to her counselling practice. Her extensive training and professional experience include Satir Systems, Gottman Marital Therapy and advanced trauma training.
Sally believes that counselling is a collaborative process. She works to build an atmosphere of trust and non-judment in order to clarify the key issues that hold people back from thriving in their relationships, their work and their lives. Professional, accepting, competent, warm and genuine—these are the values and
principles that form the work with others.
No matter what the issue is, we'll start with where you are now and what you come in with.
