Do you live with too much sadness, disappointment or
stress and too little contentment, happiness and well being? Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck,
lonely and unsatisfied?
Do you feel unsure about how to make things
better for yourself in a lasting way?
If so psychotherapy may be right for you. It has
helped many people build and maintain lives that feel purposeful and
good. I have been working with individuals and couples in New
York City and Jersey City, NJ for over 10 years, and I know
how effective psychotherapy has been for people in my practice. I
also know how difficult it can be to take the first step, but I encourage you
to so. Therapy is the most powerful tool I know for gaining access to
fuller potential and building strong relationships.
Everyone seeking therapy has very personal reasons for doing so. In the course of this work you may find yourself
talking about things that you have never talked about before. This can be very exciting but may also sometimes stir up powerful or confusing thoughts and feelings. Beginning therapy requires courage, so is important to find someone who is a good fit for you. If you have questions or would like to schedule an initial consultation I can be reached at either the phone number or
the email address above.
My rates change periodically; if you think you may be interested in working together, please contact me to discuss my current consultation fee. If I cannot accommodate your financial situation, I will provide you with an appropriate referral.
If you are seeking psychoanalytic or intensive treatment (2 or more times per week) a reduced fee may be possible based on income and ability to pay.
I have limited availability for sliding scale treatment. I typically reserve these spots for students or current patients undergoing financial hardship. I encourage you to discus finances if they are a concern.
For the initial consultation, payment is due at the time of service. If we decide to work on an ongoing basis, payment can be made either weekly or monthly. I provide invoices at the end of every month, which can be used for out-of-network insurance reimbursement if applicable.
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
- Do I have out-of-network mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
