Foundations Counseling, LLC

At some point in our life we will all face grief, death, loss, a break up, even trauma, and also a chance to rebuild.  As we come across these human challenges, we can grow, heal, and rebuild from them as long as we are willing to have the intention to be the author of our new story.  Tara Doudy is here as both your counselor and a witness as you engage in creating and living your new story.

Tara provides care, warmth, and authenticity to connect and collaborate with her clients.  Tara has a passion for walking alongside someone else’s journey, providing a map and compass to help them discover their path to success and happiness; a place of healing, growth, and thriving.

Tara Doudy earned a Master of Arts Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Regis University in Denver, Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado.  She is also a certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Facilitator.  Tara uses counseling techniques from narrative therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, and existentialism.  She also has experience working at a sexual assault crisis center in Fort Collins, Colorado, serving adults, adolescents, couples, and families impacted by assault or abuse.  She is passionate about helping others find their journey to a new beginning.

Tara has experience working with individuals experiencing trauma, sexual abuse, PTSD, suicidal ideation, crisis, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body image issues, self-esteem issues, attachment, codependency, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ issues, issues of race and multiculturalism, cutting/self-injury, suicidal ideation, anxiety, depression, drug and alcohol use, trauma, social and relationship issues, and loss of a parent or a loved one.

Tara can help couples with attachment, communication, codependency, intimacy, affair recovery, pre-marital counseling, spouses of sex addicts, and parenting challenges.

If you are looking for growth oriented counseling, Tara can help you with career counseling, grief and loss, life coaching, workplace bullying and conflicts, burnout and lack of motivation, relocation, empowerment, life transitions, and individual development.
