For Couples

When your relationship becomes distant, difficult, or distressed, it can feel like your world is falling apart. In our work together, we find ways to strengthen your relationship, reshaping it into one that feels closer, more reliable, and comforting.

For Individuals
The psychotherapy process involves developing an interpersonal relationship which strengthens and transforms your sense of self, and enhances your confidence and well-being in the world. Empowerment and growth through interpersonal connection are both the process and the goal of relational therapy.
About Me
My name is Ted Leckie and I am a Registered Psychotherapist. My colleagues, clients and friends have at various times described me as empathetic, kind, gentle and insightful.
I offer psychotherapy and couples therapy to individuals, families and couples. In addition I run an ongoing relational psychotherapy group which meets weekly. If you would like to see me individually, with your partner, with your family or if you would like to join one of my psychotherapy groups, feel free to contact me at ted.leckie@gmail.com
I have also studied mindfulness, psychology and mental health at the University of Toronto - looking at the mind, consciousness, cognitive science, and health psychology, to understand the contributions of mindfulness to the modern understanding of consciousness, and mental and physical health and illness.
My particular interest lies with couples, families and relationships. I see clients as couples, as part of a family and/or individually. My couples training has been with John Gottman (Level One and Level Two training) as well with Gail Palmer and Sue Johnson (Emotionally Focused Therapy -EFT- Externship and EFT Core Skills). My family training has been with Gail Palmer (Emotionally Focused Family Therapy).

My Location
My High Park Psychotherapy office is tucked away behind a Victorian house on a tree lined street in Roncesvalle Village. A tiny oasis in the city. My book lined office has a wood burning stove and radiant in-floor heating during the winter and air-conditioning during the summer with a cozy selection of seating options.
