If you are reading this you are likely looking for help for yourself or for your relationship. For the past 20 years I have been helping individuals and couples understand their negative patterns and learn how to change them. We are not imprisoned by our past. We can change the issues in our lives that cause us pain and unhappiness.
What stands between you and a different life are matters of responsible choice. How do you choose to learn love - through doubt and fear, or though wisdom. Every situation in your life serves that goal. Living consciously - being aware of our intentions is the key. What we put out in the world is what we will receive. If one is angry and resentful, they will likely attract people and situations that trigger anger. Likewise if one is honest and loving, they are more likely to attract the same.
Every action, thought and feeling is motivated by an intention, and that intention is a cause that exists as one with an effect. If we participate in the cause, it is not possible for us not to participate in the effect. In this most profound way, we are held responsible for our every action, thought and feeling, which is to say, for our every intention. By choosing your thoughts, and by selecting which emotions you express will determine the quality of your life. You determine the effects that you will have upon others, and the nature of the experiences of your life.
When our thoughts, emotions and actions are aligned with the highest parts of our selves, we are filled with enthusiasm, purpose and meaning. Life is rich and full. At each moment you choose the intentions that will shape your experiences and those things upon which you will focus your attention.
As you choose to empower yourself, the temptation that you challenge will surface again and again. Each time that you challenge it, you gain power and it loses power.
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, MFC #49726
I have been
providing couples, family, and individual counseling since joining The Center
for Change three years ago.
My focus involves working with individuals and couples who
are looking for more satisfaction and fulfillment in life. Often a crisis
brings someone to my office such as infidelity or sexual acting out. Sometimes
an individual or couple will simply have a nagging feeling that their
relationship has lost the passion that it once had. Whatever your situation I
encourage you to give me a call to see if I am a good fit to help you address
Being married for over 25 years with two grown children I have the
practical knowledge of the challenges facing today's family. My education has
given me the theoretical knowledge to work with individuals, couples, and
families in a therapeutic relationship
I also have worked with veterans struggling with alcohol/
substance abuse, trauma and PTSD. Working through a local hospice I have
experience dealing with loss and grief. And I have counseled at-risk youth as
well as children in local elementary and middle schools.
