You are welcome in my office. You are welcome to tell your stories, fight for your marriage, grieve your losses, wrestle for hope, explore your stuckness,  re-imagine the “real you,” or simply learn to rest.  My hope is that this will be a space where you experience being known, received, and not ashamed.   My personal experiences with counseling have invited me to these things.
I have experiences helping clients with:

 -relationship difficulties and emotional distress
 -pregnancy, infant and child loss

 -spiritual concerns
 -non-local clients by Skype

My approaches to counseling can include:
-Emotion Focused Therapy and Gottman Therapy for couples
-EMDR, a trauma focused therapy, when stories of past or present harm are debilitating

Nationally Certified Counselor
I highly value offering affordable counseling.  I use a sliding scale upon request to those who cannot afford my regular fee.  I am an in-network provider with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and can provide out of network receipts for other insurance providers.
 About me:
Before pursuing counseling, I spent 15 years working with an international agency in Asia involved in teaching and counseling.  These years offered a wealth of cross-cultural and relational experience which have given me a heart for walking alongside men and women who seek to grow in authentic change. My family moved to St. Louis in 2010.  I am a seeker and learner. A wife and mother.  An aspiring writer and artist.  A lover of children’s literature, red maple leaves, and homemade guacamole.
Am I the right fit for you?
Finding the right therapist for your needs is important.   If I am not the best counselor to address your concerns, therapeutically or financially, I will help connect you with other therapists who I feel may be a better fit.  I would be happy to visit with you and answer any of your questions about what counseling with me could be like as you consider this step.
