Trusting yourself and your choices is the key to emotional well being.
We enter psychotherapy for all different reasons: grief, personal crisis, anxiety, sadness, phases of life issues, unmanageable anger, relationship troubles, career issues, etc. Sometimes we don’t even know what’s bothering us - we just know we don’t feel right.

To my mind, the ability to recognize that you have a need for change and accept that you need help to move towards a solution, is an inner strength.

As a client-centered and solution focused therapist, my goal is help you work towards future decision making and learn to live on life's terms. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges that are causing you pain and impeding upon your life today. By applying integrative therapy approaches and techniques, together we will unearth long-standing behavioral patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling life.

Most people can feel anxious now and then. It's a normal emotion. Many people feel nervous when faced with a problem at work, before taking a test, making an important decision, interviewing for a new job. However anxiety disorders are different, though. They can cause distress that interferes with your ability to lead a normal and balanced life. For people who live with chronic anxiety, worry and fear and constant and overwhelming. Anxiety related disorders such as Social Anxiety Disorder, Specific Phobias, Obsessive Compuslive Disorder, Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorders can be treated by learning to these feelings.

It has also been my experience when working with people who have dependency and addiction issues, whereby social anxiety and or generalized anxiety play a big part of the self medicating process. The anxiety takes over and is so intolerable and uncomfortable that self medicating be becomes the easiest solution for some. Depression can also weave its way into that unhealthy web of fear and darkness. An easy way to identify the difference between anxiety and depression is.... If you find yourself worrying about the future, such as, will I ever get married, will she/her crash is car, will I the world end. Thoughts that are so far out of your present realm. I call this "Future-tripping". This is anxiety. Depression is the opposite, it primarily focuses on your past experiences and issues that you may be deeply dwelling on such as, I wish I had made healthy choices in my life, I should have told her I loved her before she left, I should have chosen a different career when I had the opportunity, I could have been a better parent. Regrets and chronic self defeating negative thoughts about your past can keep you stuck in the past. On a daily basis, I teach you to learn how to manage your symptoms rather than the symptoms managing YOU.

I have been working with clients and patients in my practice and hospitals in Orange and Los Angeles counties for many years now and I am always energized to witness when the light bulb turns on, when the magic happens. It can happen for you too.
Confidentiality is very important. I offer a safe environment for you to uncover, discover and most
importantly, RECOVER.
