Tricia uses a holistic approach to counselling and specializes in a type of therapy called Eye Movement Desensitization Repossessing (EMDR).  She has completed her basic training and is furthering her training and expertise by obtaining her certification. This requires an additional 20 hours of training/consultationand she is currently half-way through this process.

EMDR therapy can be used to treat emotional disturbances caused by challenging past traumas including:
  • abuse (physical, mental, sexual, & emotional),
  • sexual violations
  • grief & loss
  • accidents
  • combat
  • negative core beliefs from childhood

Symptoms of past trauma(s) may show up as:
  • anxiety
  • depression
  • anger
  • sleep disturbances
  • shame
  • current problems in relationships
  • substance use
  • PTSD
  • stress
  • phobias
  • low self-esteem

Are you suffering for the above symptoms?
EMDR can successfully remove these symptoms! EMDR will help you process the trauma and the negative beliefs associated with it, as well as alleviate the uncomfortable somatic symptoms you may be experiencing in your body.
What Tricia can provide for you
Tricia provides a caring and compassionate approach to therapy and looks at healing the body/mind/spirit rather than just looking at the symptoms themselves. When you are able to heal something at a core level, everything begins to change for the better. By using EMDR therapy, you are able to get to the root of the problemfast and therefore save time and money compared to traditional talk therapy methods.

Tricia offers counselling for individuals (adults, children, and youth)
Evening and weekend appointments are available
