I help people adjust and move through change, the expected and the unexpected: a new relationship, recent separation, midlife crisis, a move, a baby, a major loss....
You're experiencing some big emotions you didn't expect or don't know how to handle. You're upset, stressed, scared, worried, isolated or even numb. Life is a series of transitions and some of them are harder to digest than others. Especially when you don't have enough support around you. Whether the change you're experiencing was planned or not, it doesn't make it easier or simpler to manage.

You don't have to go through these life transitions alone. I help individuals and couples adjust to a variety of changes (small and big). I've had my share of transitions too, which have made me appreciate the challenges they bring and the value of consciously working through them.

My Approach to Therapy - The Mind-Body connection
I take a holistic and integrative approach to therapy: I have learned that healing includes not only the mind but also the body and spirit, and I draw from various therapeutic modalities to provide you with tools that are custom-made to your situation and needs.
My style is very collaborative and respectful of your own process and state. I offer you a space and time to truly be yourself. I strive to create a warm, compassionate and non-judgmental environment, in which I will support you while exploring your struggles, guide you while sorting through your feelings and thoughts, and provide you with practical tools to prevent and handle challenging life situations. When appropriate, I may challenge your perspective; nudge you to try something different, while always making sure you're on board with it.

Areas of focus
I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist trained in psychodynamic therapy, EMDR trauma work, and the Hakomi method (an experiential, body-centered approach). Particular areas of focus are couples struggling with intimacy and communication issues; women and new moms having difficulty finding balance in their professional and personal life, and experiencing stress/anxiety, depression, unresolved grief or trauma.
I'm especially interested in clients with cross-cultural experiences such as expats and first-and second-generation immigrants, and people having a hard time adjusting after relocating.

I see clients both in Denver and Littleton, Colorado, and I offer a free 20-min consultation.

Contact me when you're ready to get some support.
