About Me:
 
My name Vera Voroskolevska. I hold a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from  at Fielding Graduate University. I also obtained my Masters degree in Social Work from University of Windsor, Specialized Honours BA in Psychology from York University, and Developmental Services Diploma from Humber College. I held several clinical and management positions with a number of organizations including Specialized Network of Care, Community Outreach Programs in Addictions, Durham Mental Health Services, and others. Most recently, I was employed at Covenant House Toronto as Clinical Services Manager where I was responsible for overseeing the provision of family work, substance use, social work, and healthcare services to homeless youth. I completed my residency at Dr. Fountain and Associates where I provided a range of assessment and treatment services to adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My volunteer and community involvement includes Research Ethics Board at University of Toronto, Board Director at Gerstein Crisis Centre, Board Director at Nellies, Shelter for Women and their Children, and others. I am also a Tobacco Cessation Practice Leader for Tobacco Control Area Networks (Toronto and Central East Regions).I am fluent and am happy to provide services in either English or Russian.

Individual Psychotherapy (in-person or secure video)
I provide psychotherapy services (in-person or secure video) in different areas of practice which includes depression, anxiety, life transitions and adjustment difficulties, trauma, substance use, relationships difficulties, work-life balance and career challenges. My approach emphasizes taking the necessary steps to change your current situation and achieve your dreams. My style is direct, person-directed, strengths-based and solution-focused. My work is guided by cognitive-behavioural, humanistic, and holistic frameworks. My interventions include CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Crisis/Suicide Intervention. I believe in choice, personal preference, and individualized approach to treatment and encourage my clients to communicate their preferences for treatment and actively seek their feedback.
 
I offer video and phone appointments for individuals with multiple commitments who need additional flexibility by offering early morning, evenings, and weekend appointments.
