So that young people can reach their full potential and live healthier, more productive lives, Youth Care offers supportive residential treatment for adolescents who are struggling with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, autism, trauma-related concerns, psychosis, behavior problems, and substance abuse. While at this treatment center, youth between the ages of 11 and 18 benefit from personalized treatment planning, expertly trained and compassionate staff, and a therapeutic atmosphere that is extremely conducive to positive change and healing.
For over a quarter of a century, Youth Care has provided treatment that has transformed the lives of countless young people.
Among the offerings available at this renowned center, residential treatment, partial hospitalization programming (PHP), and educational services are those that can help adolescents both reach and exceed their treatment goals. Residential care, which is the most intensive and structured level of care available, provides young people with ongoing support as they develop the skills and confidence needed to become healthier. Various therapies and supportive services including individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, recreational therapy, experiential therapy, and community service activities, round out the comprehensive care supplied, all of which are capable of assisting youth in developing positive behaviors that can serve them well. Additionally, for the young people who need it, medication management services are available so that mental illness symptoms can be alleviated when using coping skills alone are not enough to bring relief. The average length of stay within this level of care is four to five months.
After a young person completes residential treatment at Youth Care, he or she may be recommended to participate in the PHP that is available. This treatment option features many of the same therapeutic supports offered in the residential program; however, this option for care is less restrictive and promotes building upon the positive behaviors that have been practiced and the coping skills that have been learned.
Youth Care also supplies onsite educational services for adolescents in both the residential program and PHP. These services are purposely included so that young people can work towards achieving academic goals and benefit from individualized support and attention while learning. This beneficial aspect of care affords youth the all-encompassing treatment that they need to enhance their self-esteem and reap the benefits of knowing what it feels like to succeed, while also enabling them to earn credits towards their academic pursuits.
Every young person receives a thorough aftercare plan once his or her time at Youth Care comes to a close. This plan, which is developed for the duration of a youth's care, will spell out the needed follow-up services and supports that can enable the young person to be successful for the long-term. By selecting Youth Care as the place to help an
adolescent develop and grow into a happier, healthier, and more productive individual, a brighter future is truly possible.
