I use a cognitive behavioral therapy approach to working with people with addiction, which is a research and evidence based approach. I provide tools to help people identify and avoid their triggers and cope with their urges and cravings. I also help them feel better by teaching effective relaxation skills and coping skills. People who work with me also learn how to set better boundaries, learn problem solving skills, and live a life free from addiction. In the event that a higher level of care is needed, I provide direction and resources to help people through the process of living addiction free.

This area is our signature...We offer any level of treatment needed to help clients achieve abstinence and sobriety. We support the 12-step approach, but at the same time understand underlying issues may also influence a relapse. Therefore we use the power of the group, outside speakers, education, relapse prevention training, and bringing the family or significant other into treatment. Our groups are powerful--we use the best and most effective protocols available-art, music, expressive, aroma, nutrition groups. Quite often a person will come into treatment unwillingly and say after the first group night they felt comfortable because the staff treated them with care and respect.
